Official Rules & Regulations

Please read all guidelines carefully before submitting your work.

  • Film Lengths: Short films must have a maximum length of **60 minutes**, including start and end titles. Feature films and Documentaries must have a maximum length of **300 minutes**, including start and end titles.
  • Prior Screening: Short Films or Features that have been streamed or uploaded on other platforms (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, OTT) **are also accepted**.
  • Required Documentation: Censor Certificates or Banner registration **is not required**.
  • Digital Format: Films must be submitted in **MOV/MPEG/MP4 format only**.
  • Subtitles: Subtitle is **compulsory** for all films in languages other than Marathi, Hindi, or English.
  • DVD Submissions: Short Films DVDs are accepted, provided they are **new or unused**. Submission must be confirmed by call (refer to the Contact Us Page for details).
  • Prizes: Awards will be distributed in the form of **Cash, Trophies & Certificates**.
  • Submission Deadline: The last date for form submission is provided on the **Official Website** (Please refer to the website for the latest updates).
  • Certificate Eligibility: Certificates will be given exclusively to **Selected, Quarter Finalists, Semi-Finalists, Finalists & Award Winners only**.
  • Final Screening Limit: A maximum of **Top 150** short films will be selected for the final screening (This number is subject to change based on scheduling and time availability).
  • Jury Decision: The decision of the Jury will be **final and binding**. No inquiries or counter-arguments regarding films that are not selected for the final round will be permitted.
  • Jury Disclosure: The names of the Jury Members will **not be disclosed** until the festival officially starts, a measure taken to avoid corruption and bribery.
  • Rights and Indemnity: The Submitter, Producer, or Director is fully responsible for obtaining a **No Objection Certificate (NOC)** from whoever owns the rights to the short film, presented on their official letterhead.
  • Legal Disclaimer: No legal action should be taken against the Jury members or Organizers based on the decisions made regarding the submitted films.
  • Online Submission: The form must be filled out **online** and include a Google Drive link or any other accessible link to your film. **Multiple films may be submitted.**
  • Registration Fee: The registration fee is clearly mentioned on the official website and Film Freeway and is **Non-Refundable in any case**.
  • Stay Updated: Filmmakers are strongly advised to follow the festival on **Social Media pages** to ensure they do not miss any upcoming updates or announcements.
